Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet Did you know that the mission of the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry is to provide food relief to the economically disadvantaged residents of Batavia and Batavia Township? In fulfilling their mission last year, the Food Pantry served 674 needy Batavia families. In addition to the clients who are able to come to the Food Pantry to shop, the Food Pantry also delivers groceries to the disabled and elderly who are unable to visit the food pantry. The Food Pantry is also able to provide bread and fresh produce 5 days a week and offers a vast array of clothing to those in need through the Clothes Closet.
Hunger is not seasonal, the hungry need help every month. Next weekend,
May 6th and 7th, is our monthly collection for the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. Please join us in helping to keep the Food Pantry shelves stocked. Bring nonperishable food items and paper products. If you won’t be able to shop, please consider making a monetary donation.
With each dollar donated, the food pantry can purchase $8 worth of food at the Northern Illinois Food Bank.Make checks payable to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.
Thank you to all the parishioners who so generously donated to the monthly food collection for the BataviaInterfaith Food Pantry weekend in April. Your gifts are greatly appreciated and are truly making a difference in the lives of those the Food Pantry serves.
