Life Advocacy Day: You Are Invited! URGENT: Your help is needed in Springfield to stop abortion-expansion in Illinois!
The people of the Diocese of Rockford are invited to journey to Springfield on
Wednesday, March 20th for Life Advocacy Day, to lobby against these bills.
Several extreme abortion-expansion bills have been introduced in the Illinois General Assembly, and your help is needed to stop them! If passed, these bills would repeal the state’s ban on partial-birth abortions, define abortion as a fundamental right, remove abortion clinics from regulations for serious medical procedures, remove the requirement that only doctors can perform abortions, and repeal the current Parental Notification Law, among other things. We must make our voices heard and you can make a difference!
There is an urgent need to meet with legislators in Springfield to personally ask them to "Vote NO” on these bills. The Catholic Conference of Illinois will provide a training session prior to meeting with our legislatures. Please join the Catholic Conference of Illinois and others from throughout the Diocese of Rockford on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Your help is needed! Visit
rockforddiocese.org for more details and to sign up online. Questions? Contact the Life & Family Evangelization Office at
