Progress continues in our Give Back to the Lord in Thanksgiving campaign. Commitment Weekend cards with 1x donations as well as three-year pledges are steadily coming in to the office. We encourage all parishioners who have yet to make a commitment to pick up a card from the narthex, pray over it, and consider a donation. A gift from the heart no matter the amount, is truly a blessing.
“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. For the help provided by this contribution not only satisfies the needs of God's holy people, but also overflows into widespread thanksgiving to God.” –2 Corinthians 9:11-12
Campaign FAQ’s: ·
Are we able to make a donation in memory of a loved one so their name will be on the scroll that will be placed in the altar of the new St. John Paul II Perpetual Adoration Chapel? YES, everyone who has donated to the campaign, no matter the size of the donation, will be included on the scroll. If you would like to make the donation in memory of a loved one, please note that with your donation.
·
What renovations will be made to the church? The plan is to upgrade lighting around the altar and in other areas to LED lightning which will increase cost efficiency and improve the ambiance. The existing carpet will be replaced with new carpet and a new marble floor at the nave, base of the altar and in the choir area, will be installed which will improve the acoustics in the sanctuary. We will also be replacing the organ.
·
Have we received approval to begin the first phase of the project? Yes, the architect is working on the plans for the adoration chapel and when these are completed (by mid-August), then we will begin the bidding process for the first phase of the project, the St. John Paul II Adoration Chapel.
