Campaign FAQ’s:
Are they replacing the stained-glass windows in the sanctuary? No. During the feasibility study, parishioners gave input on the proposed projects. From this input, the finalized case statement describing each of the three projects was established.
What renovations will be made to the church? The plan is to upgrade lighting around the altar and in other areas to LED lightning which will increase cost efficiency and improve the ambiance. The existing carpet will be replaced with new carpet, and a new marble floor will be installed at the nave, base of the altar, and in the choir area which will improve the acoustics in the sanctuary. We will also be replacing the organ.
Is there a way to honor or recognize all who donate to the campaign? Yes, a scroll containing names of everyone who has made a donation to the campaign will be placed in the altar of the St. John Paul II perpetual adoration chapel. Their sacrificial offering to help build the chapel, renovate the church, and add on the expansion to the educational building will be remembered in prayer for generations to come.
This campaign offers us opportunities to examine who we are and what we value in our parish. It gives us occasion to reflect upon our accomplishments and to strengthen our resolve in facing new challenges for the future. It is another step in our stewardship journey to grow as a community of believers who share their time, talent and treasure. Our volunteers continue to work hard at contacting fellow parishioners to share details of each project. If you are able to volunteer your time to be a campaign visitor, please come to one of our volunteer meetings on Monday nights at 6:30 PM in Rooms 203. Training will be provided.
