Over a year has passed since we have been able to host a visitor for a special event at Holy Cross. This Divine Mercy Sunday, we welcome you to come be immersed in profound teachings on the Mercy of God! We are pleased to announce that Fr. Dominique Faure will be joining us in person from Boise, Idaho! Fr. Dominique will celebrate and preach the 4:15 pm, 9:30 am, and 3:30 pm Masses. Also, he will give two different talks on the Mercy of God, one on Saturday at 7:00 pm and one on Sunday at 2:00 pm. |

Dominique ![]() Born and raised in Paris, France, Father Dominique was ordained a priest in 1990 in The Community of the Brothers of Saint John. Father Dominique has served in Laredo, Texas; he founded a house for The Community in Cebu, Philippines; he served as a chaplain at the Newman Center of Bradley University in Peoria; then he founded a house in Pondicherry, India, where he also built a hospital for the dying and the destitute of AIDS and for their children. Father Dominique was the chaplain of Catholic Discipleship College in the Diocese of Auckland, New Zealand, teaching and guiding groups of young students. During this time, he became a member of a newly founded religious community: Verbum Spei (Word of Hope). One of the priests overseeing the spiritual formation for the Missionaries of Charity worldwide, Father Dominique teaches and preaches around the world offering various forms of retreats, conferences, and seminars to lay people as well as religious, priests, and bishop. Father communicates deep insight, whether it be in human philosophy, or in the heights of mystical theology. By a request from Bishop Peter Christensen of the Diocese of Boise, Idaho, Father Dominique came to the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist with five brothers, in April 2019 till present. The main mission of the brothers in Boise is to be a contemplative presence in the diocese, while serving in the Cathedral, offering spiritual direction, especially to young adults and students.
